Beck’s Baptist Church offers programs across a variety of ages and care provision.
Pre-School Program
Our preschool program is for children ages 3 to 5. We offer a Pre-K5 Program for children who are 5 and need to wait a year prior to entering kindergarten in order to grow socially and emotionally. This program prepares the child for the kindergarten routine.
Wee Learn Curriculum at Beck
Wee Learn Curriculum
Beck’s Baptist Preschool and Child Care Center adopted the Wee Learn Curriculum in 1994. It is a Southern Baptist preschool curriculum that is broken down into age-appropriate activities.
Children who arrive at the Center have a free choice of activity centers. Our concentrated learning time falls between 8:00 and 11:15. During this time, the child will be involved with the Bible (which is mandatory), calendar, weather, projects, arts, music, basic science, sharing, centers and help with their hygiene needs.
Math and pre-reading skills are administered on an appropriate age level. The theme of the week or month is left up to the teacher’s discretion. Lesson plans containing themes and basic activities will be provided for each family so you may know on a day-to-day basis what your child is learning. Teachers work on basic learning skills appropriate for you child’s age. Schedules may vary according to the children’s needs and to the teacher’s goals.
Beck’s offers several private classes (i.e., dance, computer, etc.). Parents may elect to enroll their child/children in these privately conducted activities for which the parents are required to pay the individual instructor.
School Age Programs at Beck
School Age Program
The Beck’s Baptist Child Care Center offers before and after school care to kindergarten & up through age 12. Children gather together in the morning where there are a variety of books, puzzles, cards, games, and simple art activities for them to use.
Full Child Care will be provided for enrolled children during the summer, school holidays, as well as days school is closed due to inclement weather or teacher work days.
Nutritious snacks will be provided each day and lunch will be provided on the days when the child is receiving full child care.
After-School Programs at Beck
After-School Care
Our after school program provides a snack, outdoor play, project time, and Bible Study, which is mandatory. Children are offered the opportunity to participate in music, cooking, creative dramatics, and art. Children may elect not to participate in the group activity and may choose to participate in the after school study program from 3:45 – 4:30.
Summer Program
The Center’s summer program consists of field trips, guest speakers, various activities, and an annual end of the summer Talent Show. Space for the summer program is limited.

- Hearing and Speech Screenings (as scheduled)

- Children’s Theather (4 times a year)
- Chapel (every Tuesday)
- Library (every other Wednesday)
- Picture Day (as scheduled)
- Dance Class (as scheduled)
- Computer Class (as scheduled)
- Literary (3rd Wednesday)
- Dance/Tumbling (3rd Wednesday)
- Compuchild (3rd Wednesday)
Field Trips
Permission slips are required for each field trip and must be on file in the office. Parents will be provided with specific details as to the time and place of each trip. Children will be transported by the church van. The van holds a total of 15 persons. The driver of the van must be 21 years of age or older and approved by the Church Van Committee.
