You can know with certainty that when you die you will go to heaven!

I John 5:13 says, I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.

The way you know is by receiving Jesus Christ into your life by faith. If you take steps toward Him in faith, He will be with you for the rest of your life and for all eternity. How do you receive Jesus as Savior? This web page is designed to lead you step by step towards that decision.

Step 1

Realize and confess that you are a sinner.

Romans 3:23 – For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

The Bible makes it clear that all have sinned against God. No one is exempt from this charge.

Romans 3:10-12 – As it is written: There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God. All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one.

We all sin and fall short of the glory of God.God is Holy, righteous, loving, and all powerful. When you understand who God is and perceive God as He is, then you can know how far you miss the glory of God. He is the only measure of righteousness by which you will be judged. Knowing this, you see your sins in contrast to Him. We all need His mercy.

Step 2

Realize the awful consequence of sin and that eternal life comes only through Jesus Christ.

Romans 6:23 – For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

The wages of a sinful lifestyle ultimately pay off in death. Death means eternal separation from God. The Bible tells us that the place of separation from God is in Hell. On the day of judgement that is to come, those who have not turned to God and away from a lifestyle of sin, will forever be separated from God.

Rev. 20:15 – If anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

John 3:18 – Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.

The good news is that you do not have to remain condemned. God loves you and offers you the gift of eternal life. You must decide whether to be content with the wages of sin or accept God’s gift of eternal life. That gift comes to you through Jesus Christ.

Step 3

Realize that Jesus Christ loves you and has paid the penalty for your sin.

Romans 5:8 – But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Jesus Christ died on a Roman cross to pay the penalty for our sins. Christ’s death demonstrates God’s wonderful love for every person. When Jesus died, He took your sin upon Himself.

I Peter 3:18 – For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God.

Isaiah 53:6 – We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.

God made the ultimate sacrifice for you by allowing His one and only Son to die so that you might have eternal life. He is a good and gracious God.

The goodness of God causes you to want to repent of your sin.

Romans 2:4 – Or do you show contempt for the riches of His kindness, tolerance and patience, not realizing that God’s kindess leads you toward repentance?

The word repent means to turn to God and away from a lifestyle of sin. When you do that, God forgives your sin.

Acts 3:19 – Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.

Step 4

Realize that you must confess Jesus as Lord and receive His gift of salvation (eternal life) by faith.

Romans 10:9-10 & 13 – That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord” and belive iin your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.

For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

That is, you must confess that Jesus is God, that He has authority over your life, that He died on the cross and rose from the dead to forgive your sin. By faith you believe and are made right with God. The Bible syas, “For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” God wants you to trust Him now by calling on the name of His Son, Jesus Christ, for salvation (eternal life).

Would you do that?

Are you willing to turn to God from a lifestyle of sin and confess Jesus as Lord of your life?

If so, pray this prayer:

Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner and need forgiveness from You. I believe that You died on the cross and rose again from the dead in order that I might receive eternal life. I turn from my sins and ask for forgiveness from You. Right now I trust You as my Savior and will follow You as my Lord. Thank You for hearing my prayer and giving me eternal life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
What Jesus Wants You To Do Now

1. As evidence of giving your life to Jesus, you must confess Him publically as your Lord and Savior. You do this by following Him in baptism and church membership. Do this next Sunday! (Acts 2:41)

2. Jesus wants you to get to know Him better. You have met him by receiving His gift of eternal life, now get to know him. How?

Through reading the Bible (II Timothy 3:16-17)

Through prayer (Philippians 4:6; I Thessalonians 5:17)

Through the fellowship of a local church (Hebrews 10:25)

3. Jesus wants you to tell others what He has done for you. (Luke 24:45-48; Acts 1:8)

We are excited about your decision to accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior! Please take a moment to share your decision with us along with your contact information if you would like us to follow up with you. We will not place you on any mailing list nor given any information about you to any one else.We would like to rejoice with you and pray for you [see our Privacy Policy]. We pray that God’s presence will be with you in the coming hours and days. And we encourage you to find a good Bible believing church, like Beck’s Baptist, to help you in your daily Christian walk of faith.
