Brock Stinson's Mustang Adventure: Racing with HMO at Hidden Valley Raceway (2026)

Brock Stinson, a rising star in the world of racing, is set to make his mark on the Motorcraft Mustang Cup Australia at Hidden Valley Raceway. With a unique blend of racing and data engineering expertise, Stinson is poised to take on the challenge with HMO Customer Racing. This opportunity is a testament to his talent and dedication, as he transitions from a behind-the-scenes role to the driver's seat.

Stinson's journey in professional motorsport began with HMO, where he started as a number two mechanic on Josh Buchan's TCR car at Bathurst in 2021. His dedication and skills caught the eye of the team, leading to his involvement in the TCR World Tour, where he worked as a data engineer for Will Brown and Josh. Now, he's back with HMO, but this time as a driver, representing the team on the track.

The No. 31 Mustang Dark Horse R, previously piloted by James Golding, will be Stinson's steed for the Hidden Valley Raceway event. While Stinson has primarily raced in the one-make GR Cup series, where he currently sits second in the standings with four wins from six, this opportunity presents a new challenge. He admits, "I have not done too much driving on a slick tire before, so to jump in there for my first real laps and work out how much grip it has and also how much power it has was really cool."

The race at Hidden Valley Raceway will be a significant moment for Stinson, as it marks his first time racing with HMO as a driver. He expresses his gratitude to Barry Morcom, the owner of HMO, for giving him this chance. "It’s going to be a bit surreal to be able to go to Darwin with them, but this time as a driver and actually represent them out on the track," he said.

Stinson's transition from mechanic to driver showcases his versatility and adaptability, making him a valuable asset to any racing team. His experience in data engineering, combined with his racing prowess, positions him as a rising star in the sport. As he takes on the challenge at Hidden Valley Raceway, the racing world will be watching, eager to see what this talented individual can achieve.
